You’ve Landed In The Heart Of
Northwest General Aviation

Gallatin Field is the fourth busiest airport in the Pacific Northwest, with growth projections that show it’s likely to remain a regional leader in aviation. Nearly $2 million has been spent on improvements in the airport’s general aviation area in the last two years, and the airport currently has room for more than 800 locally-based aircraft. In 2006 there were more than 80,000 air operations at the field, and itinerant air traffic is projected to increase by 25 percent by 2010. In the next 12 years, the turbine jet fleet is expected to double. Other highlights:

  • Active general-aviation aircraft expected to increase 1.4 percent annually over the next 12 years
  • Turbine-powered aircraft fleet projected to grow four percent annually over the next 12 years
  • Number of based aircraft projected to increase 24 percent by 2010
  • Two full-service FBOs, double-digit growth in aircraft fuel sales
  • Greatest challenge is accommodating the needs of a growing flying public
